TheAMD Ryzen 7 5800X is an 8-core processor based on the 7-nanometer "Zen 3" architecture, which goes on sale at the end of 2020. It runs at 3.80 GHz High Base and 4.70 GHz Boost. The new "Zen 3" microarchitecture Ryzen 5000 series processors have a significant 19% increase in IPC (instructions per cycle) compared to the Ryzen 3000 series "Zen 2" processors.
The impressive 19% increase has enabled the Zen 3 core to not only become AMD's fastest CPU core to date, but also to overtake Intel for the first time in more than 10 years. In the acclaimed CineBench R20 Single Core test, the Ryzen 7 5800X outperforms Intel's currently fastest Core i9-10900K processor by almost 13%! This is a testament to the power of this processor and AMD's entire Zen 3 product line.
Thanks to its faster core, Ryzen 7 5800X convincingly defeats its direct competitor, the 8-core Core i7-10700K, in theMulti Core version of the CineBench R20 test, with a 20 percent advantage!
A similar performance handicap can be seen in almost any photo, video and 3D processing application - the excellent price/performance ratio of AMD Ryzen 7 5800X is strongly confirmed by PugetSystems ' tests.
As you can see, the new 8-core Ryzen 7 5800X performs 10% better than the dual-core Core i9-10900K in the popular Adobe Photoshop photo processing application. In Adobe After Effects video post-processing, the Ryzen 7 processor also outperforms the Core i9 by 9%!
With the release of Zen 3, AMD has caught up with and even surpassed Intel on absolutely all fronts, including the latest PC games, which were Intel's last "horsepower". Almost unbelievably, the new AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, combined with the currently most powerful GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card, beats the Core i7-10700K in Shadow of the Tomb Raider by both Average and1% Low FPS scores. In a duel with the Core i9-10900K, there is a tie, but PCIe 4.0 support, lower power consumption (105W vs. 125W) and the amount of heat generated speak in favour of choosing the Ryzen 7 5800X.
We recommend watching this video which compares the Ryzen 7 5800X with a couple of other 8-core processors - the previous generation Ryzen 7 3700X and Intel's current Core i7-10700K.
The processor is supplied in Tray version. This means that it will not be packed in a cardboard box and will not come with a cooler. In terms of performance, it is no different from the Box version.
The processor scores well inthe CPU Passmark performance tests.
L2 cache or the second level memory is second as to high-speed operation.
L2 memory capacity starts from 128 Kb up to 1-2 Mb.
